How to get the best from your Holistic Therapy Treatment

Aftercare advice

It may be a while since you last had your holistic therapy – what with Covid and all! 😊 and now I'm happily back at R&R Therapy in South Gosforth and able to offer my range of holistic therapies I thought I’d post a quick reminder about what you can do to help yourself get the very best from your holistic therapy treatment with my aftercare blog.

Having a holistic therapy can really help your body, mind, and soul to relax and rebalance, creating some space to switch off from the outside world and have some peace, whilst enjoying your chosen therapy, but it is really important to continue focusing on your wellbeing for some time following your session & I encourage all my clients to listen to their bodies following a holistic treatment. After all, we really do know and understand our body’s better than anyone else. In addition to that there are a few golden rules to follow, so here goes...

Drink plenty of water, as well as hydrating your body, you’ll feel more energised, it helps to eradicate toxins and you’re less likely to have a healing response.

Avoid tea, coffee, and other caffeinated drinks as these are stimulants, instead, drink decaffeinated drinks or a fruit-based tea, you don’t want to undo all the good that has been done during your treatment.

Avoid alcohol (I know I’m such a party pooper) this will allow your body to adjust & detoxify following the treatment.

Enjoy small, nutritious, unprocessed meals with plenty of fruit and vegetables, this will help the body concentrate on the healing process rather than having to focus on digesting a heavy meal.

Following these guidelines will help you get the very best from your treatment, so rest and relax too if you can.

If you're planning to exercise, please avoid anything strenuous, a relaxed walk would be far more beneficial.

Take nice, long deep breaths as your body begins self-healing!
